Here where I name check people. Got to meet the following artists, Armand Villavert, Mara Aum M. Alice LeGrow and Talent Caldwell. Armand was pretty cool and he's cool if you stare at his hot girlfriend. Mara is very nice and very old school fan in a good way. Most of our conversations were limited to 80's cartoons. Alice LeGrow is a crazy woman, but a lot of humor comes out of that. She has no problems with totally just opening up to people she just met and let the crazy fly
Talent wasn't actually a part of the show, but my artist friend Jolene knew him and he kind of showed up as part of the is road trip of his (long but interesting story). He was definately a good sport as we just randomly threw him on panels and with 10 years of comic work under his belt, he had of useful info to inpart. I look forward to see his creator owned books when he gets them out.
Know on more pratical matters, I want to say sales wise this was my best show this year.
And I'm going to work more on being a publisher and not just a writer. I know I've talked to a few of you out there about getting some stuff out and so expect me to be bothering you more about getting your own stories out for people to read.
And at the end of it all that was the theme for me this weekend. Is that in this day and age more and more people are trying to make money off of art and there missing the point when they do that. It's about expressing yourself creatively and I think people enjoy that more when they read such works (or watch that movie or play that game or what have you). So I'm saying the Disneys and the Marvels are fine but the real art comes from the original creator. Viva la revolution.

Which pages of art were you looking at, BTW?

So break yourself against my stones
And spit your pity in my soul
You never needed any help
You sold me out to save yourself
And I won't listen to your shame
You ran away, you're all the same...
